A new study on ballistic nanofriction

A study carried out by Cnr-Infm and Sissa researchers within Eurocores Fanas project has been published on Nature materials. It shows a novel ballistic friction regime and should provide a good starting ground for future experimental and technological advances

 

Swup-med: a project for available water resources in cultivation

As a result of ten years study, the Cnr-Isafom project shows that salinity affected about 4.000 hectares of the plane of Volturno river, pointing out  the evolution of the interface of sweet and salt water in the coastal area and alluvional plane

Tommaso Moramarco, Claudia Pandolfo - researchers at Research institute for geo-hydrological protection (Irpi-Cnr) - and Vijay Singh (Texas University) will receive the 2010 Normal medal.
