Business of innovation: the Israeli experience  

The Israeli technology transfer system and experience is the most advanced in the international arena. Worth to mention is the contribution of the private capital, with a huge and vibrant network of venture capital societies, hi-tech start-ups can easily find financing.

In order to promote it throughout the world, the European Network of Innovation Agencies and the Shamon College of Engineering are organizing, within the initiatives of the Eureka chairmanship (held by Italy and directed by Cnr-National Research Council of Italy during the period 2006-2007), the workshop 'Promoting the business of innovation - the Israeli experience' that will take place in Beer Sheva, Israel, 11-14 April 2011.

The meeting aims to describe the processes of 'technology transfer', to create technological incubators, to stimulate regional development, to enhance academy-industry cooperation, and finally to develop new tools of financing innovation. It intends also to present  the Israeli governmental policy towards development, support for innovative high technology based industry and to ignite the international cooperation on innovation issues.
